Silom Silom Road (ถนน สีลม) used to be the main business district for many years before Sukhumvit was intensely developed into what it is today. Connecting Rama 4 Road on the East with Charoenkrung Road (Riverside) on the West it runs parallel to and in between Sathorn and Suriwongse Road. Aside of being the center of banking as well as gems and jewelry trading in town, Silom Road is notably known for the night market of Patpong, which aside of the souvenirs stands is lined by numerous bars & pubs and restaurants of all fares. Easy to reach by Skytrain (BTS) on its upper part.

Getting around Excursion Shopping Activities
As chaotic as the City may appear, there are many ways to discover it, either using private guided tours or Taxis or Public Transportation.

Most convenient are the Skytrain (BTS) and the Underground Train (MRT) which are both covering some of the most interesting sites. Also to recommend is using the River Taxis on both Chao Praya River and /or any of the Canal (khlong) Tours.

Should your journey take you beyond the city limits, then opt for flights (timetable), train (timetable) or line buses (timetable).
